Splendours Spirits

Splendours Spirits, run by local couple Jamie and Louise, has been a regular at Tiverton Farmers Market and other events.

They have now taken the plunge and opened a shop and bar, which will be open at general markets every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.

They also plan to open on Friday and Saturday evenings, after the market has closed.

Their flavoured gins, vodkas and spiced rum have proved a big hit at the market since they first traded here nearly a year ago.

The gin flavours include blackberry, butterscotch, coconut London dry, morello cherry, passionfruit, rose and strawberry.

The vodka comes in three flavours – caramel, coffee and raspberry and coconut.

Jamie and Louise also stock local beers and ciders, including from Cottage Beer Project and Rull Orchard.

Jamie has created an attractive bar from wooden pallets which can move on wheels, while he has refurbished the interior of the units.

Outside are two large oil drums, on top of which you can have a taster of gin, vodka or rum.

At around 15ft x 6ft inside, it's one of the smallest bars in the country!

But it has plenty of character and seating inside and out.
